Tradie Trolley Grab Competition terms and conditions

By entering this competition, you agree to these terms and conditions:

  1. Promotor: This competition is being promoted by Afirmo NZ Limited (NZBN: 9429048157681) of Level 2, 1 Albert Street, Auckland, New Zealand (Afirmo).
  2. Promotion Period: This competition opens at 12:00am NZT, 8 October 2024 and closes on 11:59PM NZT, 31 October 2024 (Promotion Period).
  3. Eligibility: Entry to this competition is only open to persons who, at the time of entry: (i) are residents of New Zealand;(ii) are aged 18 years or more; and(iii) are the owner of a business (sole-trader, company or partnership) in the construction or trade industry in New Zealand (Eligible Entrants). The following people are not eligible to enter this competition: Afirmo’s employees and contractors and their respective immediate family members; any business involved in development or execution of this competition, including any prize vendors. Afirmo may, in its sole discretion, disqualify an entry or withhold the prize until entrant provides it with satisfactory proof of residency, age, and status as a business owner in the construction or trade industry.
  4. Entry requirements: To enter this competition, Eligible Entrants must submit the competition entry form online at www.afirmo.com/nz/tradie-trolley-grab/. Eligible Entrants may enter the competition twice. However, the second entry requires an Eligible Entrant to register for an Afirmo Scale Up Plan 30 day free trial at www.afirmo.com/nz within the Promotion Period (Second Entry Requirement). If an Eligible Entrant does not meet the Second Entry Requirement, they can only enter the competition once.
  5. Draw: Eligible Entrants with valid entries will go in the draw to win one prize of a trolley full of products from any PlaceMakers store in New Zealand worth up to $10,000 (inc GST). Afirmo will draw potential winners via a random electronic draw to be pre-screened for eligibility. This process will be repeated until there are 10 eligible winners, who will be provided to Radio Hauraki. Radio Hauraki will draw the winner by hand live on Radio Hauraki between 5:00pm and 7:00pm (NZT) on 8 November 2024. The winner will be published on Afirmo social media pages within 24 hours of the draw. Afirmo will also notify the winner by email or phone within 24 hours of the draw. If the winner does not claim the prize within 7 days of being notified, the winner will forfeit the prize and Afirmo will redraw a new winner from the remaining pre-screened entries. The winner must be available to do a ‘PlaceMakers trolley grab’ at an agreed upon day and time at the agreed PlaceMakers store. Only the person who originally entered the competition can be awarded the prize. The winner has 5 minutes to perform the trolley grab up to the value of $10,000 (inc GST). Once the 5 minute time frame is complete, the products will be processed at the checkout. If the final value is over $10,000 (inc GST) the winner will choose which products they would like to exclude. The winner may be required to participate in a health and safety induction or sign a health and safety waiver before the trolley grab starts. The prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. In the event the prize becomes unavailable for any reason beyond Afirmo’s control, it may substitute the prize (or any part of the prize) for one of equal or greater value.
  6. Privacy and Consent: By participating in this competition, you agree to the collection of your personal information and consent to:
    1. Afirmo using your personal information (such as your name and contact details) to administer the competition, contact the winner, and promote and market our products and services to you by email or other electronic communication. If you do not want to receive such communications, use the opt-out function in the communication. Your personal information will be stored, used and shared in accordance the Privacy Act 2020 and our Privacy Policy (available on our website); and
    2. if you are the winner, us to use and share with our competition partners PlaceMakers and Radio Hauraki, without payment to you, your name, contact details and photograph (or other likeness) and entry contents for advertising and publicity purposes, and you also agree that Afirmo will own the right to any such image and photographs taken relating to the competition and the prize awarded pursuant to the competition.
  7. Damaged or incomplete entries: Neither Afirmo, PlaceMakers or Radio Hauraki nor any other entity associated with this competition will be responsible for any late, lost, misdirected, corrupted, incomplete or incorrectly submitted entries, including but not limited to entries not received due to technical problems or human error. The time entries are deemed to be made will be the time the entry is received, not the time the entry is submitted by an entrant.
  8. Disqualification: Afirmo may verify the validity of entries and identity of entrants and may disqualify any entrant who does not comply with these Terms and Conditions, who tampers with the entry process or has an incomplete or incomprehensive entry.
  9. Liability: To the full extent permitted by law, Afirmo makes no representations or warranties in respect of the prize, including that the prize will be fit for purpose. Except for liability that may not by law be excluded, Afirmo (and its directors, employees and contractors) expressly disclaim and will not be liable in any way for any loss or damage whatsoever incurred in connection with this competition, participating in this competition or accepting or using the prize.
  10. Final decision: Afirmo’s decision is final and binding with respect to all matters relating to the competition.
  11. Early cancellation of competition:
    1. If, for any reason (in Afirmo’s opinion, which is final), Afirmo is not able to run the competition as planned, including, but not limited to, infection by a computer virus, bug, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures, security breach or any other causes that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the competition, Afirmo may, in its sole discretion, cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition subject toany applicable legislation.
    2. In the event of war, terrorism, state of emergency, disaster or any other circumstance beyond our control, we may, subject to applicable legislation, cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.
  12. Facebook: This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Facebook or Instagram and you fully release Facebook and Instagram from any liability or responsibility for or in connection with this competition.
  13. Changes to Terms: Afirmo may modify these Terms and Conditions at any time for any reason.
